Michael Lacey, MD, D.ABSM
Michael Lacey, MD, a Board Certified Neurologist and Sleep Specialist, is Co-Founder of the Atlanta Sleep Medicine Clinic, and provides medical direction and consultation for the clinic.
Dr. Lacey received his Neurology training at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He later completed a fellowship in Epilepsy/Neuromuscular Disease at Emory University.
A practicing neurologist, Dr. Lacey gained much of his experience in sleep during the 16 years he has worked at the Northside Hospital Sleep Disorders Center, the oldest accredited sleep laboratory in the state of Georgia. He has served the last 9 years as it's Medical Director.
Dr. Lacey is a frequent lecturer at the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine. He presents on Nocturnal Seizures, Limb Movement Disorders, Narcolepsy, Patient Evaluation and Interpretation and is a facilitator in patient case analyses for a variety of courses. In his lectures, he shares valuable practical knowledge gleaned from his years of experience as a sleep specialist.
Dr. Lacey participates in clinical research in the fields of sleep and neurology at Neurotrials Research, Inc. with Dr. Rosenberg, and has lectured as clinical faculty at Georgia State, Mercer University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School's Physician's Assistant program.
